Job Objectives and Responsibilities:
- Sales Planning: This includes the sales planning for both the short and medium-term. This includes sales forecasting (category-based), expense forecasting (cost centre), budgeting and Strategic Financial Planning. - Financial Analysis: This includes providing financial analysis of the monthly actual performance, variances to forecast (and providing explanations), promotional plans and effectiveness analysis of promotional plans and customer/product profitability. - Consumer-based Reporting: This includes developing SAP-based reporting sets - Control: Ensure financial controls within the Consumer segment are effective. This will require working closely with the Accounting team to understand the required controls and evaluating the effectiveness of controls, as well as implementing additional/alternative control measures as required. - Present monthly results with Consumer Senior Management team to review the performance, category results, promotional programs effectiveness and major variances with a goal of better forecasting/improving sales forecast and future promotional programs. - Create, maintain and review Consumer pricing policies, procedures and models and provide Consumer cost modeling and analysis for Commercial decision-making purposes - Performance Evaluation: The Commercial Manager-Consumer role will be judged by Senior management and the Finance Director based upon the perceived value added in the achievement of Sales and Operating Profit targets for the year.
Job Experience, Competencies & Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Finance or Business-related subject (Mathematics/Accounting/International Trade) from an accredited University;Master’s Degree preferred (MBA/Master of Accountancy) - Experienced in Consumer Business Industry with a strong background in consumer business-related accounting issues, industry trends for 4-6 years - Accounting and Finance experience in terms of product costing and cost modeling - Leadership experience matched with strong decision-making ability - Ability to make an impact and influence people - Good communications skills both English and Mandarin - SAP related experience - Strong analytical skills
